Getting back in Gear

I still do not have internet in my office, but we are working on that. We have had a few adventures since I last posted. I have been preparing images so I can share a few of those... When I have a chance to sit down longer than a few seconds using someone else's internet connection, I will share. In the mean time here is one of my favorites panoramics Thomas took on one of our hikes in the San Juan mountain range.

Blooming

We have enjoyed watching the plants in our front garden come back out this year. I will post more later. This is a lily my sister gave us last year, the first bloom opened this morning.

Thomas recently made the bench and the flower bed along the fence. Those are staying, along with the big pots. This picture really doesn't do it justice. Maybe I can get a better one if it ever stops raining.

Posting Delays

I haven't posted much lately. Though I do have things to post. We are in the process of packing up camp and moving to the hill country. You probably won't see much out of me until mid June. Who knows though, I might surprise you. Good things are to come around that corner! I will try to keep you "posted." In the mean time, here is an image of my friend that comes to visit me every day outside my window at work. He likes to talk. A LOT.

eLEckt

Two very cool things happened yesterday.

1. We got these really cool t-shirts in the mail that our super cool friend Abraham Bowater designed. He has a profile on Redbubble.com, check him out by clicking on his name!

AND 2. Thomas defended his dissertation and blew them way with his awesomeness! I am so proud of him and so happy to see him able to enjoy life again now that that is over. Way to go baby!! TWO Thumbs up!

SPRING!

It is so cool to see the plants we planted last year start to bloom again! This guy is only about half an inch now, but it will grow to be about 7 inches or more in full bloom. I love spring!

The Diamond Center

My good friend and phenomenal photographer, Cristy Cross came to town last week. We got together with another fabulous photographer, Shan Renee and took band photos of my new friends Brandi and Kyle. Their band is The Diamond Center. What a blast. I got to hang out with some really spectacular people and played around with some new techniques. How fun is it to shot band photos! A whole different level of creativity that is allowed. Here are a few of my favorites. I can't wait to see the other girl's photos!

Moving Process

That wasn't too hard. The previous post is a close up Soapsud's rear end that faces A&M.

While Thomas & I were figuring out where we will move to next, we also made a list of what adventures we need to embark on while we are still in Raider Land. Thomas called me one night on his way back to school so excited and urging me to come take photos of Soapsuds all wrapped up. The Saddle Tramps had just finished and did such a great job. It was beautiful. We were so happy to see this one more time. It was Pat Knight's first home game.

The first image is Will Rogers and Soapsuds unwrapped. Here are a few more from that night.

By the way, if you have any suggestions on the must do things you like to do while in Lubbock. Please let us know. Our time in Lubbock is officially limited.

Guessing Game

Without giving any clues yet, can anyone guess what is in this image? It may be easier for some to see.

Okay, here is a clue.
1. If you have ever been in Lubbock, you have probably seen this, but it is not always around.
More clues later.
