It's Official...

A few weeks ago, the new official portrait for President Barack Obama was released. It was taken by Pete Souza, the newly announced official White House photographer. It is the first time that an official presidential portrait was taken with a digital camera. That camera was the new Canon 5D Mark II. What does that have to do with you, you might ask? Well,.... Drum Roll, Please! My new Canon 5D Mark II officially arrived today!!! I am squealing right now. That means all my future 2009 clients will be sitting in front of the same camera as your Mr. President. Now, whether you like him or not, that is officially pretty cool, don't you think?!

(I basically copied this post from another cool Texas photographer's site from a few weeks back. I thought, hey that's cool, I have the same camera, might as well show it off too...)

I mean, really....

...who could work with this face looking at you?

Proof Book

If you are having trouble narrowing down which photos you would like enlargements of, or if you just like the traditional way of proof viewing your images, a 4x6 proof book is a good way to go. There is a thin white boarder around each image to ensure that your image is not cut off by the binding. The ID number is printed on the back of each photo and I do not place a logo across the image, detracting from the quality of the image. They are printed on the same professional quality Kodak paper as your enlargements would be printed on. Hope you have a great weekend!

Papillons!

Brian & Sharynn requested a photo shoot in celebration of their anniversary at their lovely home with an awesome view. Thanks guys for inviting me into your home for a great evening of shooting. My, what cute babies you have!

Happy Anniversary!

The Hunt

Sometimes I just have to get out of the office & go wondering. I was given a good lead & I found a few great locations for future shoots. One is ideal for a Senior shoot and one is a playground of great backgrounds. I could do an entire day of shooting there. I think I have an obsession for old things.

Willie Mitchell

Another fun shoot I am in the middle of processing is this photogenic senior, Willie Mitchell. He was such a good sport with letting us experiment with light. Willie is a creative soul himself and had some great ideas up his sleeve. Here are just a "few" of my favorites from that night. Let me know what you think! Thanks Willie for being so patient with us and letting the creative juices flow!

Sometimes it is just hard too decide which to post. I like the image with just three because you can see more detail in the image. I like the five just because it is more complicated... so you get to see both...
